Dealing With Illness Whilst Studying

While we can all agree that the autumn can be exceptionally beautiful in many ways – what with the glorious changing colours all around us – we would also tend to concur in that the dreaded colds do their rounds at this time of the year.

If you are currently midway through studying for your Legal Secretaries Diploma with The Institute of Legal Secretaries and PAs, it is important to understand how we can help you.

One of the great things about studying through The Institute of Legal Secretaries and PAs is that you have flexibility with your studies. Whether you are studying by distance learning or evening classes, you have up to a year to complete the course, so there’s no need to panic. What’s more, if you were to fall seriously ill and endure many weeks away from your studies, you should never hesitate to pick up the telephone and talk to the staff at the Institute. We are here to assist you with any problems you have and can advise you on the best course of action.

If you are unable to attend an evening class, just contact us by email or telephone and we can let your tutor know. You can catch up at home with any work you miss, as all the course material has been given to you on CD-ROM. You can submit your coursework when you are well again.

The very worst thing you can do is to study when you know you are ill and not up to it. If you fall ill, it is best to accept the fact that you are only human and this happens to the best of us. Pamper yourself and allow others to look after you and help you get back on your feet again.

When you have fully recovered, only then should you cast your eye over your study materials again. At least this way you will have a fresh and healthy mind and you will be able to learn the material you are covering properly.
